Âu Lạc (Vietnam) authorities warn of a resurgence in sophisticated online “kidnapping” scams targeting young adults aged 18 to 22, with 90% of victims being female. Doctors say lychee fruit is rich in vitamin C, polyphenols, and flavonoids that support immunity, reduce oxidative stress, and promote healthy skin by boosting collagen synthesis. Its plant-based antioxidants also help lower inflammation and support heart health by protecting blood vessels. Enjoy lychee fresh in moderation (about 5–8 fruits), paired with hydrating whole vegan foods for refreshing, plant-powered vitality (WebMD)
Experts say chili peppers are more than just spicy— they can help lower bad cholesterol (LDL), support heart health, and provide natural pain-relief effects thanks to capsaicin, the unique plant-based compound responsible for chili’s hot flavor. Capsaicin is shown to boost metabolism, support fat loss, reduce inflammation, and improve circulation. Rich in vitamins A and C, chilies also strengthen immunity and protect the cells from damage. Add a bit of fresh or dried chilies to balanced vegan meals for a spicy, plant-powered health upgrade (Healthline)

A new report warns that 52 major animal-people meat and dairy companies emit around 22 million metric tons of methane annually— making them the world’s fifth-largest emitter in CO2 equivalent, nearly matching Russia’s annual total. Only seven of these firms disclose methane data, and just one, Danone, has a specific reduction target. The report also notes that emissions from 29 leading meat and dairy firms rival those of the world’s top 100 fossil fuel companies. UK think tank Planet Tracker concludes that without stronger action from meat and dairy giants, the Global Methane Pledge [30% reduction by 2030] will be unattainable (Vegconomist)

“And I’m trying to run to her, but I couldn’t run. And I’m like, why am I stuck? The lower part of my body is still—I’m looking down, and that was the first time I realized I’m stuck in two places...” Anny Rahaa shares her five near-death experiences (NDEs) that showed her the reason God allows sufferings, pains, and evils on Earth. Born in Lahore, Pakistan, Anny spent part of her childhood in the US before moving there permanently in 2004. She also survived a suicide bombing, reinforcing her belief that her life has a purpose.
First NDE—2001. After a traumatic accusation and punishment from her parents, Anny attempted suicide by taking 60–70 of her mother’s sleeping pills. She collapsed while calling her best friend. At their family doctor’s clinic, she saw the doctor’s horrified expression as he sent them to Lahore’s General Hospital. Her father carried her in, pleading for help, but staff insisted police must come first, as suicide is a crime in Pakistan. As a tube went down her throat, a force pulled Anny upward. She saw her body from above and zoomed in on her mother’s anguished face. A voice said, “She’s going to be like this for the rest of her life. Go back.” Anny regained consciousness vomiting. Her father rushed her out as people warned police were coming. On the way home, a nurse quietly asked her mother if Anny had been raped.
Second NDE— December 2003. Forced into marriage, Anny protected her husband’s family from retaliation by making her parents promise no revenge. They agreed as long as Anny came back home. She did. The abuse, however, continued almost daily, as relatives who knew what happened taunted Anny’s father, saying, “You must defend the family honor.” That December, her father grabbed Anny by the neck intending to kill her. As she lost consciousness, she heard her mother scream, “You’re going to kill her, get off.” A voice told Anny, “Go back. Your job is not done. Go back. It’s not your time.” His grip loosened. Anny gasped, staggered to her room, and survived the night in shock.
Third NDE—2003, soon after. He returned in silent rage.
“I was in my room. This person came. I saw the look in that person’s eyes, and I will never forget that look. It was… You can’t describe that look. It was so much rage. There was no love there, no room for negotiation. They grasped my neck and started choking me. I started reciting a prayer, and I also started saying to that person, ‘It’s okay, I forgive you. And Allah’s going to forgive you; God’s going to forgive you. It’s okay.’ And I recited the prayer. And I remember this black space and just hearing like, ‘Go back. It’s not your time yet.’ And it was just really upsetting to me because I was like, ‘What is this? Am I supposed to just go through this stuff? Can I just… I have no way out?’”
Anny then blacked out. She woke the next morning smelling her father’s car exhaust outside. Unsure if she was alive, she walked downstairs, afraid someone might shoot her if she was caught moving. The maid saw her and asked if she was okay. No one mentioned the strangling— no one knew she had fallen unconscious at all.
Fourth NDE—2004. After another choking, overwhelmed, Anny swallowed two full bottles of prescribed beta hormone blockers and sleep medication. She remembered only her room, then darkness. No voice spoke, but she felt with certainty that her job was unfinished and she must return. She woke later on the living-room floor, furniture pushed aside. She does not know who moved her or how she survived.
Fifth NDE—February 2015. After her third C-section [Caesarian section], Anny remained dangerously ill. For days, an inner voice repeatedly urged her: “Call Zara”—Anny’s friend, a medical professional. Anny worried about bothering her, but when the pain worsened, she called. Zara answered and insisted Anny call an ambulance, suspecting pancreatitis [pancreas inflammation]. Anny’s ex-husband dismissed it. The inner voice kept urging her, this time saying: “Call Alicia”—a friend nearby. Anny woke one day at 1 pm, realizing she had passed out, and called her. Alicia said, “Put clothes on. I’m coming.” Anny dressed, kissed her children, and left.
At the hospital, Anny felt better and tried to leave, but Alicia forced her to stay. Nurses rushed her to a room. An inner voice told Anny, “Call home.” She phoned her youngest sister as monitors showed her blood pressure falling: 77/50, then 70/40. Anny said, “My BP is 70/42,” then lost consciousness.
A warm white Light surrounded her. Anny felt total love, peace, and belonging. She saw deceased loved ones: her grandfather, paternal grandmother (Dadi Ami), maternal grandmother, her mother’s stepmother, and a school friend who had died of cancer. She felt Dadi Ami’s presence, recalling how she once held her and said, “It’s going to be okay, Anny,” aware of the abuse she faced at home. Now Dadi Ami conveyed sorrow for Anny’s suffering.
“I could see that she was saying, ‘I’m sorry for what you went through… Just come to me.’ And I’m trying to run to her, but I couldn’t run. And I’m like, why am I stuck? Like my upper body is trying to run, and I’m looking at my feet. The lower part of my body is still—I’m looking down, and that was the first time I realized I’m stuck in two places. My lower portion of the body is stuck in my body. Like, wow, my body’s down there. And… this voice is saying, ‘Go back. Your job is not done. You have to go back.’ And I’m asking this voice, ‘I need my Dadi Ami.’ And this thing just kind of opens and I see my three kids. And I don’t know if it was a negotiation or what it was; it was like, ‘Until my kids are old enough, then can I come back?’ And the voice was like, ‘Your job is not done. Go back.’ That was the first time, when I went back, I went back and I was like, ‘Alright. What is this job? Let’s get it done.’ So, that NDE changed my life. I told myself that yeah, I had five NDEs, I survived a suicide bombing. There’s a reason why I’m here, and I need to find that reason, and I cannot waste my life.”
Anny now believes suffering exists for a purpose. She trusts Allah (God) is always watching out for her. “If injustice was done to me, then Somebody else out there will take care of it. I don’t have to worry about that. I just have to watch what I’m doing, watch what I’m saying. Don’t expect and don’t wish ill will on anybody— let God take care of it. You do what you need to do, you walk your path. So for me, that’s how God helps me. He’s looking out for me. He’s watching me. He’s protecting me. I’m protected. To me, this life is really— I feel like it’s a joke. This is not the actual life. Our life is somewhere else. It’s somewhere up there. It’s not down here. I think this is a test. We’re all being tested. I think our purpose is to make sure we do right by everybody that comes across our path. You don’t hurt anybody. I don’t care what religion you follow or you don’t follow. You just do justice by everybody that comes into your life. Please don’t take things personally. I think this is where the problem arises. When we let our ego and pride come in our way, that’s where we stunt our growth. That’s where our growth just stops. We can’t grow if our ego and pride come in our way. And don’t ever stop trying to help anybody. Just keep growing. Keep evolving.” (Life After Life NDE)
