US President Trump says on June 11 that He canceled planned US strikes on Iran after talks were allegedly approved by “the highest level” of Iran’s leadership, reversing earlier threats to hit Iran “very hard” and target Kharg Island and other oil infrastructure. He says, “Discussions and final points have been, in both concept and great detail, approved by all parties involved, including the US, Israel, Saudi Arabia, UAE [United Arab Emirates], Qatar, Türkiye, Pakistan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, and others,” adding that “the naval blockade will remain in full force and effect until this transaction is finalized – time and place of the signing to be announced shortly” (Al Jazeera)
A French Rafale fighter jet on a NATO [North Atlantic Treaty Organization]’s Baltic Air Policing mission shot down an unidentified drone after it entered Latvian airspace from Russia on June 8. Latvia said the drone crossed the border due to Russian electromagnetic warfare, though it did not say who launched it. NATO command authorized the shootdown, and Latvian officials reported no injuries or damage. The incident adds to growing concerns that drones from the Russia-Ukraine (Ureign) war are spilling into NATO and neighboring countries’ airspace (Defense News)

Highly sensitive dog-individuals may become easily overstimulated, anxious, skittish, or strongly attached to their caregivers, with research suggesting about one in six dog-folks may have this trait. Experts say it is not a disease, but a personality type linked to deeper stimulus processing, which can contribute to noise anxiety, separation anxiety, hyperreactivity, compulsive behaviors, digestive problems, skin issues, allergies, autoimmune tendencies, and sleep disorders. Helpful support includes calm routines, safe retreat spaces, gentle handling, reduced exposure to overwhelming environments, relaxed sniffing walks, and soothing activities like food searches, chewing, or lick mats. Breed may play a small role, especially in herding dog-, sighthound-, and Vizsla-individuals, but individual differences matter more than breed alone (Express)
Chile seizes more than 100 metric tons of drugs hidden in 1,080 metric tons of lumber bound for Europe in what authorities call the largest narcotics bust in the country’s history, following a six-month investigation that uncovered cocaine- and ketamine-laced wood in 45 containers at three ports (DW)
Google introduces a new Android security feature called Fake Call Detection that verifies whether an incoming call truly originates from the caller’s actual device (by confirming device origin rather than analyzing voice content) to help protect users from deepfake scam calls. The system warns users if verification fails, encourages them to disconnect, and will first roll out on Google Pixel phones before expanding to all devices with Android 12 or higher after testing, as Google shifts from blocking suspicious numbers to confirming device identity to counter increasingly sophisticated AI [artificial intelligence]-driven fraud (Kênh14)
South Korea unveils a sweeping cross-ministry plan to curb teen suicide by placing professional counselors in every school, allowing principals to arrange counseling without parental consent in emergencies, expanding prevention and detection programs, and setting targets to reduce the youth suicide rate through 2035 amid rising deaths and mental health needs (The Korea Times)
A free “forest bus” called “Boshalte” in Utrecht [the Netherlands] now takes young people from Domplein to the Landgoed Beerschoten nature reserve every Sunday in June. The service runs every 30 minutes and aims to improve mental health by making nature accessible. University College London [UK] researchers warn that LED [Light-Emitting Diode] lighting, often used to save energy, “[undermine] human visual performance” when not accompanied by another type of lighting, like incandescent lighting, due to its narrow spectrum. Tests show incandescent light’s longer wavelengths help eye cells generate energy, significantly improving color contrast and supporting long-term eye health (Thanh Niên)
The 2026 Shopper’s Guide to Pesticides by the Environmental Working Group places strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries on its list of fruits and vegetables most contaminated with pesticides, warning that dangerous, systemic chemicals contaminate popular summer berries. These toxins pose severe neurodevelopmental and cancer risks to children. While a two-minute baking soda or vinegar soak reduces surface residues, buying organic varieties remains the safest choice to eliminate toxic exposure The list is based on US government data and includes: 1. Spinach 2. Kale, Collard, and Mustard Greens 3. Strawberries 4. Grapes 5. Nectarines 6. Peaches 7. Cherries 8. Apples 9. Blackberries 10. Pears 11. Potatoes 12. Blueberries (CNN, EWG)

The United Nations’ third World Ocean Assessment warns that oceans face “severe and accelerating” pressure from pollution, industrial fishing, climate change, and biodiversity loss. The report says sea-level rise has doubled from about 2 millimeters per year before 2015 to 4.3 millimeters in 2023, while ocean warming, plastic pollution, and deep-sea knowledge gaps are worsening. It finds that 52.1 million metric tons of plastic enter the ocean each year, affecting more than 4,000 marine species, and calls for urgent global cooperation, stronger ocean governance, and expanded marine protection (The Guardian)
Researchers using US NASA [National Aeronautics and Space Administration] satellite data and artificial intelligence find that groundwater levels in Brazil’s major aquifers significantly declined between 2002 and 2023. The losses are linked to drought, deforestation, expanding agriculture, mining, and increased groundwater pumping. While aquifers normally recharge through rainfall, some areas do not receive enough rain to replenish the water being removed. The findings warn that Brazil’s key farming regions may face groundwater depletion similar to that seen in heavily used aquifers in other countries (Phys.org)

Enlightening quote of the day: “So actions speak louder than words; and thoughts are even more potent. You are not to tell others that, ‘I am a flower; the flower is very fragrant.’ Let the flower emit that fragrance, and let others say that the flower is fragrant. Let your lives prove that you have something higher.” – The Venerated Enlightened Master Sant Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj (vegetarian) (KirpalSinghPublications.net)
In this multipart series of Vania Valtriani’s near-death experience, Brazilian author Vania shares how she nearly died after a hemorrhagic stroke, saw her deceased father surrounded by beautiful Light, and was visited by Lord Jesus Christ (vegetarian) In 2014, Vania was dancing at a Brazilian party with her husband when she felt a sudden, knife-like pain in her head. She collapsed. At the hospital, doctors discovered she had suffered a hemorrhagic stroke — two veins had burst, leaving a large amount of blood in her brain. She underwent emergency surgery, but afterward, the doctor returned to her husband with devastating news: Vania would not survive. The damage, he said, was equivalent to falling from the second floor. She was placed on machines and fell into a coma for three days.
I saw my body during the surgery, the doctors and the nurse, and people surrounding me. The first thing that I want to make sure that you understand about this part of my near-death experience is that I didn’t feel anything bad. I was feeling peace, calm, something very good. I wasn’t afraid. I wasn’t desperate. I was feeling very, very good. Even looking at the experience that I was having, looking at me, it took a few minutes — for me to understand what I was looking at. And it took some time for me to understand that that person was me, because it is different than I look in the mirror. In the mirror, you can see this way. But I was looking at me like if I was in 3D. It was different. And my hair disappeared because they cut everything for the surgery.
It was as if I was in a condition that I knew before. I don’t know how to explain it. It wasn’t something new. I was feeling like as if I was that way. And in that moment, I saw my dad close to my feet. And he was surrounded by a precious, beautiful Light. And he didn’t look like the father that died from cancer at almost 78 years old. He looked like my father that I remembered when I was six or seven or eight years old. He was so beautiful. But even though he was younger, his face had something that I had never seen on this Earth. He had something on his face — like I don’t know exactly how to tell, it was peace, love, calm. I don’t know. But it was a little different than I remember when I was here with him. And he spoke with me, but he never used his mouth to speak with me. He used his brain or his mind. He called me to my mind from his mind. He called me “daughter” and he opened his arms for me. And when I looked at him, I felt something very special coming from him to me. And I understood that it was something like his love for me. There’s nothing different that I can tell, or any other thing— it was something that was bounding us, a kind of feeling.
But I look to him, and I say, “I love you, Dad, but I’ll stay here with her.” It was so interesting, I was [referring to] “me,” [as] “her.” I don’t know why. It was so different for me because I was feeling that I wasn’t that woman lying down in the surgery. And I just told him, “I’ll stay with her.” Choosing to remain with her body, Vania watched her father disappear. She also described a remarkable quality to her perception during the experience — something far beyond ordinary sight.
Let me try to explain. I’m looking in front to you right now, and I can see something here in front and a little on the sides, but not on the back. But when I was in this hospital room, looking at that surgery, and I saw my dad, it felt like that I was looking through all the place. I was feeling the place. I think that, because when you are a spirit, you don’t use only your eyes. I think you feel everything. I don’t know how to say this in a different way. In your physical body, you are adapted to use your six or seven senses — but when you are a spirit, you probably have 700 million senses, because it was amazing. I could feel everything in that place, especially my dad.
In Part 2, Vania returns to her body in pain, unable to move, with something lodged painfully in her throat. As she prays for help from the Lord, she feels a powerful presence beside her bed. And when I felt this, something came to my mind. I remember that, when I felt surrounded by this powerful thing that came from Him to me, I remember that I thought, “This that comes from Him to me is His Love for me. This is our Savior, Jesus Christ…” Join us tomorrow for Part 2 of a multipart series of Vania Valtriani’s near-death experience. (AJ Parr Spiritual Journalist NDE Podcast)
