These two pictures are newly painted ones. I remember one night in Japan, when we had just moved into the new house, we saw the moon high in the sky, with no clouds around, just surrounded by a halo. It was really like that; all of us saw it. There was really a halo surrounding the moon. They tried to record it on video and photo, but failed. Having no other way, I quickly drew a picture of it.

Q: And another strange thing was that a number of initiates went around and took pictures of the exhibition area with Master’s artworks, and among them was sister, who took some pictures and showed them to me. By the paintings, there was a white light with the appearance of a human figure which looked like a dharma guard or… That day, many photos were taken revealed the image of a dharma guard in white standing by Your mannequins.
Great paintings are a cherished treasure in the world. Each brushstroke captures history, culture, expression, and even blessings, enriching the souls’ experience of the past, present, and future without physically experiencing them. The paintings of Supreme Master Ching Hai (vegan) are unique. They accompany us on the spiritual path back to our soul’s Heavenly home, enrich our understanding of various aspects of the world and beyond this world, and nourish our souls with abundant blessings.
Today, we’ll enjoy a “Peaceful Time” as we explore a collection of paintings celebrating the beauty of the night. Beneath the luminous moonlight, we admire the breathtaking “Night View of Yang Ming Mountain” through enlightened eyes – and journey into a galactic “New Era.”
VO: One evening after Supreme Master Ching Hai arrived in Japan, She noticed the half-moon in the sky was surrounded by a large circle of light. Master said, “I have never seen a large circle of light like this before. Quick! Let’s make a video recording of it.” But neither the video nor regular camera could reproduce the same effect so Master decided She had to draw it. Within thirty minutes, a pastel drawing that captures this rare moment was finished. The bluish-green background represents the evening sky. The golden moon and the scattered twinkling stars were surrounded by a circle of light so big that it could not fit inside the picture.
The moon emits a soft yellow light, like a ripe lemon, against the sky. Its pale yellow halo is like a flickering ripple, spreading and embracing the twinkling stars. Interestingly, the stars outside this beautiful halo seem to be smiling and moving toward the Moon. Soft pastel strokes dance across the painting, creating a graceful dialogue between the moon and the heavens. These stars are even outlined in red pastel, creating a sense of warmth. This makes the night sky feel full of love rather than desolation. It’s truly a soft, peaceful piece of art.
We lack the words to express our appreciation. The real art of painting can capture time and space and bring them to the viewer for pleasure and peace.
Now, let’s turn to a personal story from Yi-Ping in China.
I am grateful to Supreme Master TV for presenting wonderful programs and delivering positive messages every day. Since knowing and following Master, I’ve been very well protected visibly and invisibly. Master’s paintings and lamps have attracted and touched me deeply with their magnificent and natural charisma of art! Master’s creations are not only artworks that amaze the world, but also magic tools that help to manage life, soothe every soul, and help in spiritual practice. I’d like to share a short story here:
When my father passed away, my mother and I were in deep grief. I was troubled by chaotic dreams every night. My mother often suffered from angina pectoris and vomiting after midnight. My mother and I were struggling with pain physically and mentally every day. There was no cure and no doctor could help us. Under such perplexity and predicament, I saw Master’s painting “Peaceful Time” in The Supreme Master Ching Hai News Magazine. It fascinated me immediately. The painting portrays the Moon and stars shining in orchestration to form a beautiful picture. The half-Moon wearing an aura is accompanied by an array of stars, looking distant and yet bright. The ethereal scene of a fairy tale is highlighted by the soft and light hues, which give the composition a vivid and concise appearance. I instantly ordered this painting. When it was hung on the wall above the headboard of my bed, I began to feel peaceful and tranquil. What was more unexpected was that my bothersome dreams disappeared from that day on and the angina that my mother suffered from at night miraculously ceased to happen. A painting brought me and my mother an incredible miracle. My mother and I experienced the “Peaceful Time” in real life – the true “Peaceful Time!” At the time when we were so fatigued physically and mentally, Master gave us such timely and apt protection and Blessing. I was so emotionally touched that I don’t know how to thank You. There is no worldly language that can express my thankfulness. I can only wish that all Heavenly guardians always protect Master so You may stay happy and peaceful. May Master’s Divine body be safe and healthy. I pray that humankind awakens to realize a vegan world immediately. All sentient beings will be in Buddha’s Grace and share the joy of Dharma. Yi-Ping from China
What a moving experience. Speaking of inspiring experiences, next let’s share a story of inspiration from Batjargal in Mongolia, who had a special encounter with “Peaceful Time.”
Hallo, most Beloved Master, Master came to me and showed how this Universe came into existence. Later on, when I saw Your “Peaceful Time” painting, its meaning gave the same realization as my inner experience revealed, which is when our world was created through 12 links of dependent origination by the Creator, it consisted of three different intelligent worlds of consciousness. First: the world of emptiness that liberates from the karmic retribution through the law of dependent origination; second: the spiritual world where the law of karma as you sow so shall you reap is enforced; third: the physical world, where according to the law of nature, the strong triumph over the weak. I saw how Earth, consisting of five elements, namely physical number, shape, action, sound and light was created, and on our Earth, worlds of eight levels of consciousness exist. Human beings, capable of realizing the laws of the intelligent world, go through the path of eight eras of conscious development, from ignorant, dark consciousness to an era of perfect enlightenment with the velocity of one million lights of spiritual consciousness. This painting in the blue theme was originally an attempt at a night scene, but eventually transformed into something different and unique. A Quan Yin messenger standing nearby suggested that Master add a UFO from outer space, and Supreme Master Ching Hai did. Thus, a relaxing and graceful painting came into being.

Let us now turn our attention to another artwork, “Night View of Yang Ming Mountain.”
VO: One evening, during a retreat in Yang Ming Mountain, Formosa, the Supreme Master Ching Hai was inspired by the descending dusk and painted this picture. The setting sun in the picture is radiating dazzling light beams that glorify the vast sky as it slips behind the summit of the hill on the opposite side. A dark, dense fog rises from the highly populated city. The starry shining dots are the lights of the houses.
In front of Her abode on Yang Ming Mountain, the artist gazes. The sun has set behind the mountains and night has descended onto earth. Against the backdrop of dark mist is a star-studded cityscape with bright beams representing spiritual light illuminating the whole of Heaven.
The use of oil painting colors is incomparable in beauty and inspiration, as white, yellow, orange, and red lights almost perfectly express the quality of the sun with every stroke. Even the black hills are represented using different levels of black, dark gray, and light gray to show the ups and downs of the landscape and the flickering levels of the city lights. This powerful color illustration shows Master’s unusual sensitivity to light and color and Her rich expressive capabilities.
And now, let’s read a sharing from Chiu-Yen in Taiwan.
Hallo, Respected and Beloved Master, The day before the Mid-Autumn Festival, my initiated husband and I took a walk along the Tamsui River. As we looked up at the sky, the beaming rays of light from the sunset and the layers of colors were dazzling like a rainbow! That was the first time we’d ever seen such rare, magnificent and beautiful scenery. A feeling of peace and tranquility rose in our hearts. The next day at dusk, as we looked towards Guan Yin Mountain from our balcony, colorful lights emitted again from the profile of Guan Yin in the sky. The blue, orange and golden light beams complemented one another like the Holy Light. My husband said, “It looks like Master’s painting, ‘Night View of Yang Ming Mountain!’” After comparing them, we found that the sunset’s colors, widths and proportions were all very similar to those in that painting of Master’s from the past. The scenery before our eyes was like a replica of “Night View of Yang Ming Mountain.”
I think Master must have seen the marvelous sunset glow back in those days, so She recorded the astonishing moment with Her paint brushes to share with the world. Being able to see the scenery Master saw with our own eyes was like walking on the path Master had walked. I’m deeply grateful for Master’s encouragement and inspiration.
